This weekend marks a very important event if you're a mountain biker, and there are plenty in our area.  Get ready for Victoria's Secret Mountain Bike Race, the first in a series of Atlantic races.  Major organizer and co-owner of Hub Cycle, Daisy Roberts chatted with Moe Dunn Thursday morning.  Check out the interview.

My weekend went pretty much according to plan; Did some gardening, enjoyed Mother's Day with my mom and took in some of the festivities of the Hubtown Youth Fun Run, put on in part by our local Dr.'s, and other medical staff with the Colchester East Hants Medical Authority.  All these volunteers, me included, dedicate this one day to hundreds of youngsters in elementary and junior high who bonded together for friendship, exercise and yes, a little friendly competition.  Not only did I assume my regular duties as MC, but this year, I got to call the race from the same vehicle that they use in real horse races.  It was sooooo cool.  Enjoy the race and you can decide if I have a future in track announcing.  Have a great week everyone.

It is my pleasure to once again be a part of one of the most significant and heart-warming days of my broadcast year, the IWK Caring For Kids Radiothon on BIG DOG 100.9.  All day, you'll be asked to assist in a small way, a large way...anyway you can, as we raise money for 19 anesthesia machines at the IWK.  These machines are not just an important function at the IWK...they are essential to life itself during operations and other procedures.

Six years ago, I got a call from Dr. Mike Murray who at that time was helping Dr. Barry Wheeler organize a kids fun run.  Dr. Murray asked if I would volunteer and help out with the run.  I agreed in an instant and 6 years later, I'm still helping out, but as you'll hear in this interview I did with Dr. Murray Wednesday morning on BIG DOG, it has grown greatly since then.  Have a listen.

From the people who brought you "Too Old To Do Our Own Stunts 1, comes 'another Expendables.  OMG, please tell me I didn't see Arnold saying "I'm back!".  The action is fabulous.  Guarenteed to be a white-knuckle ride from start to finish.  The most visually stunning special effect in this whole video however is getting Sly Stalone's wax figure from Madame Tussaud's Museum to actually do the introduction.  That is friggin' amazing.  Almost looks lifelike!
